Biography
Andres Lombana Bermudez is a researcher/educator/artist working on the intersection between youth, digital technology, learning, and media literacy. He is a PhD student in Media Studies at UT-Austin and previously completed a MSc in Comparative Media Studies at MIT. Andres studies how young people use technology for learning, creating, and participating in culture and society. He is particularly interested in studying youth practices of media production and distribution, hands-on learning, and civic engagement. Andres is currently a mentor at the Youth and Media Lab at the Berkman Center for Internet & Society, a graduate assistant at the UT-Austin Division of Student Affairs, and a research assistant for the Connected Learning Research Network.
