Biography

Bobby Wengronowitz is a sociology Ph.D. student at Boston College. In Spring 2014 he began working with Juliet Schor on the MacArthur Foundation’s Connected Learning Research Network where he is researching participants’ motivations and outcomes from using collaborative platforms such as Airbnb, RelayRides, and TaskRabbit. Bobby’s interests include research on—and participation in—collaborative grassroots alternatives to inequality-widening and environmentally destructive business-as-usual. One project examines the evolution of Community Supported Agriculture in New England while another studies climate justice activists and their political influence.
