Biography

Paul James Morgan holds a PhD from the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Irvine.  His dissertation focused on contemporary craftspeople and craft markets to understand how use, labor, and aesthetic value are connected into price-setting practices.  Other current research is interested in crowds, movement, and consumption in novel marketplaces as well as the ways in which family businesses are advised to negotiate the potentially conflicting realms of family and business.
