Rafal Zaborowski is a PhD student in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science and he is writing his thesis on Japanese music audiences under the supervision of Professor Sonia Livingstone. The thesis is an empirical analysis of audience engagements with music in a generational context and tries to theoretically develop Japanese cultural concepts for the general study of audiences. Rafal’s main research and journalistic interests include music, contemporary Japan, popular culture and entertainment media.
